Beautiful, vibey rock. That's X is X. Elsa Cornish's gorgeous voice floating over dark, lush harmonies and a little fire from drummer Greg Gonzalez give X is X its passionate yet introspective sound. For over ten years Elsa Cornish and Greg Gonzalez have been professional musicians very active in New York City's vast music scene. Their combined resumes include top notch artists from across the spectrum such as Michael Bolton, Phyllis Hyman, Cecil Taylor , and the Jazz Mandolin Project. Their Collaboration began somewhat informally in the spring of 2004 while experimenting with a few songs at Down By the River Studios in Brooklyn, NY. From these recording sessions their style developed with the help of notable musicians Jeremy Wilms (guitar) and Barney McAll (keyboards) and would later become the foundation of their debut EP Concrete Reality.
